CenterPoint broke ground on a new build-to-suit development for The Custom Companies, which has been headquartered in Northlake for over 25 years. The 223,703 SF logistics facility will be a true last-mile destination ideal for air freight, city distribution and e-fulfillment users.
The building will have a depth of 180’—narrower than a traditional big box cross-dock—and is heavy docked with ample trailer storage, which is increasingly in demand for deconsolidation hubs, Chicagoland distribution and e-fulfillment. The combination of trailer and car parking with docks and large truck courts makes this a very versatile facility that will endure over time.
Building specifications include a 32′ clear height, 137 truck docks, 236 trailer stalls and 204 auto parking spaces. The property is strategically located near I-294, I-290, IL 64 and US 45, offering quick access to Chicagoland.
