CenterPoint’s CEO Bob Chapman Announces Retirement, Names Jim Clewlow Successor

CenterPoint Properties’ Chief Executive Officer Bob Chapman has announced his retirement effective July 1, 2025.
Bob has been with CenterPoint for over 10 years, leading the company’s remarkable growth and expansion into strategic new markets.
As part of CenterPoint’s succession plan, Jim Clewlow, currently Chief Operating Officer, will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2025. Jim has been with CenterPoint for nearly 30 years and has played a pivotal role in the Company’s success, both as Chief Investment Officer and, most recently, as Chief Operating Officer.
Reflecting on his tenure, Bob Chapman stated, “It has been an incredible journey leading CenterPoint over the past decade. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together and confident that the Company will continue to thrive under Jim’s leadership.”
Jim Clewlow joined CenterPoint in 1997 as Vice President of Acquisitions, Development, and Leasing after working as a broker at CBRE for 11 years. He was promoted to Senior Vice President of Investments in 1999 and joined the Executive Committee. In 2005, Jim was appointed Chief Investment Officer, a role he held for 18 years before becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2023.
