CenterPoint's project in Linden, New Jersey, was named a winner of the “New Good Neighbors” award by New Jersey Business Magazine!
Now in its 65th year, the award recognizes the economic impact of commercial real estate developments.
CenterPoint at Linden, overseen by our SVP of Development, Ronel Borner, and VP of Development, Jay Purdy, was a multi-year collaboration with the City of Linden to transform a struggling retail space near the Port of Newark-Elizabeth into a 321,765-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility.
The facility’s array of modern amenities has made it the perfect home for our tenant, CODA Logistics and Distribution. Its sustainable features include EV charging and rooftop solar capabilities.
According to the article, “Not only did the project lead to 120 construction jobs, but CODA has hired 75 full-time employees, a number expected to triple over the next few years. As City of Linden Mayor Derek Armstead said, ‘The warehouse is going to be one more of our attractions here in town (delivering) five times the tax rateables that we were accustomed to getting. To me, that’s a win.’”
