Houston Industrial Real Estate Market Overview
Houston is the leading market for direct access to the South and Southwest regions of the U.S. and is one of the top markets for imports and exports to Central and South America. More than 1.2 million people moved into the metro in the past 10 years, growing the population to seven million people. It’s projected the metro will grow by another million people in the coming decade.
The Port of Houston is the second-largest port by value of freight in the U.S. and is critical to its supply chain efficiency. The Houston-area is home to the largest resin makers in the U.S., helping the Port become the nation’s leading resin export gateway.
While Houston is still known as a leading hub for oil infrastructure and related technology companies, it has also become a prime location for the energy and chemical sectors.
CenterPoint’s investment, development, and asset management teams in Houston are committed to meeting the needs of companies in an evolving Houston industrial real estate market. We’re confident the combination of an agile, innovative team of industry-tested professionals and our substantial access to capital makes us perfectly suited to weather any storm and meet any challenge for our customers.
