CenterPoint’s Central Region Development Team was recently recognized for its work on 4300 N. Brandon Rd. in Joliet, IL, which was named the CoStar’s Impact Award winner as Commercial Development of the Year in Chicago.
The team caught judges’ attention for pre-ordering steel and precast to avoid delays and control pricing as it simultaneously constructed that facility and another million-square-foot facility at 3301 N. Brandon Road. Both facilities were delivered on time and preleased to major global brands in 2022. The team was also lauded for keeping the project on track by building temporary bridges to address shallow gas pipelines discovered during excavation.
Judge Benjamin Cleveland of Stream Realty Partners said the 4300 N. Brandon Rd. project stands out for its “cost management and creative unforeseen obstacle solution.”
