OAK BROOK, IL – CenterPoint Properties celebrated the groundbreaking of a 223,732 SF facility located at 26600 72nd Ave. South in Kent, Washington. The building is leased to Classic Accessories for 10 years and will consolidate two facilities the company currently leases in the Kent area.

“CenterPoint is excited to work with Classic Accessories in Kent,” said Michael Murphy, Chief Development Officer at CenterPoint. “This building will be a significant achievement for CenterPoint, Classic Accessories and the entire Kent community.”

Positioned immediately adjacent and within one mile of a full, four-way interchange onto Highway 167, this  logistically advantaged location allows for three to four truck trips per day from the Port of Seattle and the Port of Tacoma. Additionally, the site is 10 miles from Sea-Tac International Airport and 12.5 miles from BNSF Tukwila Intermodal. Facility features will include a build-to-suit office, 36’ clear height, 33 dock doors, 37 trailer positions and 192 car parking spots. The building footprint also incorporates room for future growth and expansion.

“We are thrilled to expand our footprint in the Kent Valley market,” said William Lu, Senior Vice President of Development at CenterPoint.

Founded in 1983, Classic Accessories is a designer and wholesale distributor of covers and enclosures that protect a number of items, including cars, boats and patio furniture. The facility is scheduled to be completed by January 2018.
