OAK BROOK, IL – CenterPoint Properties is proud to announce a long-term lease agreement with Port Logistics Group, Inc. for 47 Sonny Perdue Drive within the CenterPoint Intermodal Center (CIC) in Savannah, Georgia. The lease will commence on the 315,810 square foot facility in April 2016. John Simons of NAI Partners, lead real estate broker for Port Logistics Group, and Rex Benton of NAI Mopper Benton represented the company, while John Neely and Danny Chase of Colliers represented CenterPoint in the transaction.

The facility is located on 26 acres and offers direct access to the Georgia Port Authority and the Norfolk Southern Dillard Yard. Other facility features include 4,785 square feet of office space, 113 trailer parking positions, 50 exterior dock doors, 110 car parking spots, two drive in doors and reinforced floor slabs.

Founded in 2008, Port Logistics Group is a third party logistics company that specializes in high-touch distribution for retailers and retail manufacturers through coastal gateway markets. Currently, Port Logistics Group occupies 6 Million square feet of building space throughout the U.S. with a focus on supporting its customers in logistics markets in close proximity to ports.

CIC – Savannah has seen consistent development and leasing activity including the construction of a 3.1-acre transload storage operation for KW International. CenterPoint recently executed a 20-year strategic lease on a built-to-suit container storage facility for Quala, providing a critical customer solution to enhance efficiency and efficacy for Quala’s business. At completion, CIC – Savannah will comprise of more than 1.3 Million SF of industrial facilities and 30 acres of container and trailer storage management facilities.
