In the DDC Journal 2019 Summer Vol. 2 issue, William Lu, CenterPoint Senior Vice President of Development, offers his insights on delivering state-of-the-art industrial spaces like CenterPoint Landing at the Port of Oakland’s Seaport Logistics Complex. Once finished, the facility will offer enhanced port operations and logistics solutions to tenants on the West Coast. When developing sites like this, CenterPoint engages with the community and keeps them up to date on project developments.
“We talk to the community,” Lu said. “We have an open door any time we are developing on the West Coast. We want to be a good neighbor, and we want to make sure that when we are developing projects, the community and the surrounding area see the benefits.”
In addition to the Port of Oakland project, CenterPoint is making improvements to the SoCal Logistics Center in Buena Park—one of the largest infill warehouses in Southern California—and is redeveloping an environmentally challenged site in Santa Fe Springs to build the Greenleaf Industrial Center.
