CenterPoint’s Annual Event is now complete. It was an amazing week, shared by a select group of the nation’s top-performing industrial real estate brokers. Largest Development – Saddle Creek Logistics Services, Joliet, IL

1,114,575 square foot build-to-suit, cross-loaded distribution facility for Saddle Creek Logistics Services at CenterPoint Intermodal Center (CIC)-Joliet, Illinois. The state-of-the-art facility is situated on approximately 60 acres, with ample space for car and trailer parking.

Saddle Creek joins several household name brands at CIC-Joliet in a building that features 32 clear heights, 132 dock doors (expandable), 4 drive-in doors, 378 car parking stalls (expandable), 328 trailer stalls, and a 14,670 SF office space.


Largest Acquisition – East Houston Portfolio, Houston, TX

Acquisition of a 27-building transportation advantaged portfolio in Houston, Texas. The properties are located within nine business parks, and total 3.6 Million square feet.

The majority of the facilities acquired are situated east of the Houston Central Business District. The buildings offer excellent access to shipping channels including, the Union Pacific (UP) Settegast, UP Englewood and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Mykawa yards, the Port of Houston, and close proximity to a petrochemical refining complex. The central location in relation to multiple modes of transportation provide tenants with decreased transportation-related expenses.


Largest Lease – U.S. Postal Service, Elk Grove Village, IL

The United States Postal Service signed a 10-year lease at CenterPoint Properties' facility at 2525 Busse Road, Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The U.S.P.S. has been a CenterPoint tenant since 2004 at this location, leasing 453,000 SF of the 887,463 SF facility. The lease terms are in effect from 2015, expiring 2025.
