The Journal of Commerce (JOC) reported on CenterPoint Properties’ role in developing the terminal and surrounding industrial real estate for a new inland port in Greer, S.C. The inland port will allow shippers to save on transportation costs by using intermodal rail services, instead of paying for a more than 200-mile dray to Charleston or a roughly 190-mile truck haul to Savannah.
