OAK BROOK, IL – CenterPoint Properties recently acquired a 116,550 square foot industrial facility at 8110 Sorensen Avenue in Santa Fe Springs, California. Mike Adey, Jeff Chiate, Jeffrey Cole and Ed Hernandez of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller in the transaction.
“The proximity to the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, rail lines and the Southern California freeway system fit our acquisition strategy of locating near crucial transportation hubs,” said Ryan Dunlap, Senior Vice President of Investments at CenterPoint. “We are excited to add to our West Coast portfolio in Los Angeles. This is one of the most desirable industrial markets in the nation.”
Located on five acres, the facility is strategically located near the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach as well as both Union Pacific and BNSF intermodal yards. The property sits just one mile from I-605 and I-5 providing access throughout the entire Los Angeles market.
Facility features include an 8,725 SF office, 18’-22’ clear height, eight exterior docks, two drive-in doors, 90 car parking spots and 26 trailer positions.
“This deal presented a highly attractive opportunity for CenterPoint to acquire a fully-leased institutional grade asset within the Mid-Counties submarket of Los Angeles County, which has significant barriers to entry,” said Chiate.
