OAK BROOK, IL – CenterPoint Properties is proud to announce the certification of CenterPoint Intermodal Center in Suffolk, Virginia (CIC-Suffolk) as a Tier 4 Certified Site and its lot #3 as a Tier 5 Certified Site. Independent engineering firm, Timmons Group, certified the site in accordance with the Virginia Business Ready Sites Program Standards.

To achieve Tier 4 Certification, CIC-Suffolk must have all major infrastructure components in place to serve the site. Capacities include 250,000 GPD Water & Sewer Capacity, 10 MW electrical capacity, 250 acres minimum with 100 acres developable, fiber available to site and zoning must be appropriate for industrial/commercial development.
Criteria for Tier 5 Certification for lot #3 at CIC-Suffolk includes having all critical infrastructure in place and being pad/shovel ready. Lot #3 is currently pad/shovel ready to accommodate a facility up to 310,000 SF.

CIC-Suffolk is 900-acre intermodal logistics center in proximity to the Port of Virginia. Its central location provides customers ease of access to major Eastern and Midwestern markets with approximately 110 Million customers living within 10-hour truck service.
