OAK BROOK, IL – Today, CenterPoint Properties announced construction completion and lease commencement for three tenants in a 300,000 SF speculative facility at the CenterPoint Intermodal Center – Kansas City. The USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) will occupy 104,500 SF of the speculative, Class-A specialized facility, neighboring Really Good Stuff, Inc. and UFP Harrisonville, LLC in 65,500 SF.
“The addition of three unique tenants to CIC-KC is a sign of a strong industrial market, especially for users in need of state-of-the-art customized facilities adjacent to multiple modes of transportation,” remarked Vice President of Development, Melissa Roman. “We are delighted to welcome APHIS, Really Good Stuff and Universal Forest Products to CIC-KC; in conjunction with the commencement of operations of one of the Nation’s largest retailers at CIC-KC, we now have four tenants strategically located at the park.”
The building, divided into three units to accommodate each tenants’ individual business requirements, is adjacent to Botts Road and U.S. Highway 150 in South Kansas City. The facility joins an existing specialize cross-docked facility at the intermodal park, highlighting the essential need for industrial facilities proximate to intermodal facilities in Kansas City. The site is fully improved with completed infrastructure and features, 60’ speed bays, 32’ clear, 37-door dock doors with four drive-in doors and parking for 154 cars. The property is positioned adjacent to the Kansas City Southern Intermodal facility, with immediate access to Missouri Hwy 150 and Interstate-49, and beside the NNSA National Security Campus.

Really Good Stuff, Inc.
Really Good Stuff, a distributor of teacher supplies, is taking advantage of the superior connectivity CIC-KC provides to more than half of the U.S. in a one day dray. With direct access to Hwy 150 in South Kansas City, Really Good Stuff’s first Kansas City property will help to expand their supply chain, while minimizing transportation costs for shipments throughout the U.S.

UFP Harrisonville, LLC
CenterPoint completed the interior building design for UFP Harrisonville (an affiliate of Michigan-based Universal Forest Products, Inc.) to enhance the company’s distribution processes in a strategically located facility, proximate to multiple modes of transportation. The wood products manufacturer will experience improved connectivity to their retail customer base from their centralized location at CIC-KC. UFP Harrisonville, will take advantage of direct access to the KSC intermodal within CIC-KC.
